    • PURPOSE: To provide a handy bottle manufacturing method rationalizing a wall thickness distribution in horizontal and vertical directions while ensuring moldability and lightweight properties, forming a deep grasping recessed part easy to hold, imparting excellent falling strength or pressure and vacuum resistance and preventing a buckling phenomenon or the like, and an obtained handy bottle. CONSTITUTION: The handy bottle constituted by providing the grasping recessed part to the body part of the bottle main body comprising a mouth part, the body part and a bottom part in opposed relationship is manufactured by blow molding. This manufacturing method includes a process for preliminarily allowing a movable core 22 for molding the grasping recessed part to stand by at the position set in a blow mold 21 and 2.0-2.6 times the half of the center diameter (R) of a preform 20 from the center axis of a preform to perform blow molding and operating the movable core 22 toward the deepest position of the grasping recessed part on the way of the advance of blow molding. By this constitution, the bottom part of the bottle main body can be reduced in its wall thickness.
