    • PURPOSE: A tension adjusting device and a tension control system of the tendon at a TLP(tesnioned leg platform) are provided to control tension in real time by the selection of remote controllable equipment and to reduce manufacturing/working cost by the minimizing of the number of installation positions of an existing ballast system and a pump system. CONSTITUTION: A tension adjusting device of the tendon at a TLP(tesnioned leg platform) comprises a motor(M) and a tendon tension adjusting unit(240). The motor generates forward or backward rotating movement depending on a signal. The tendon tension adjusting unit is installed on the end of the tendon. The tendon tension adjusting unit converts forward and backward rotation by the motor to translating movement to vary the tension of the tendon. The tendon tension adjusting unit controls the length of the tendon by raising or lowering the tendon by the translating movement using a screw jack. The tendon tension adjusting unit controls the length of the tendon by raising or lowering the tendon by the translating movement using a turn buckle.

    • PURPOSE: A system and a method for controlling the location of ships and offshore production units are provided to improve the stability of operations by controlling the location based on information from a GPS or a differential GPS(DGPS). CONSTITUTION: Information related to the external force and a location of ships is inputted in a DGPS. Gyrocompasses(20, 30) display the direction of the ship. An anemometer(90) predicts the speed and the acceleration of the ship. A computer analyses the external force and moving information of the ship. Based on the analysis result, thrust information is outputted. The thrust information is transferred to a thruster(60), a propeller(50), and a rudder(70) trough a programmable logic controller.
