    • A heat transferring element of a rotatory air preheater having corrugated wave structure is provided to increase heat transferring capability as well as to prevent discharge gas residues from sticking and corroding the heat transferring element by assembling and laminating upper and lower surface heat transferring sheets having corrugated large and small waves formed in the direction of the air flow and the peak area of the large wave forms and the middle area of the small wave forms are disposed to be overlapped. A heat transferring element of a rotatory air preheater having corrugated wave structure comprises a rotor rotating inside a housing, plural baskets combined to the rotor, and heat transferring elements laminated in folds inside the basket. The heat transferring element, exchanging heat between heated discharge gas and cold air, is formed by assembling an upper surface heat transferring element sheet(51) and a lower surface heat transferring element sheet(52). Upper and lower surface heat transferring sheets have large corrugated wave forms(53) and small corrugated wave forms(54) disposed in the same direction as the flow of the air. The upper surface heat transferring sheet and the lower surface heat transferring sheet are disposed so that the peak area of the large corrugate wave of the lower surface sheet overlaps with the peak area of the smaller wave form of the upper surface sheet. Peak areas of large and small corrugated wave forms of upper and lower surface heat transferring sheets have the same curvature radius(R), but have differing heights(H1,H2).
