摘要： Provided are a method for preparing amine-modified epoxy resin and a cationic electrodeposition coating composition, which has good external appearance, high throwing power, and excellent gas pinhole formation inhibition performance. The method for preparing amine-modified epoxy resin contained in the cationic electrodeposition coating composition(21) comprises the steps of: reacting a isocyanate compound with a blocking agent to provide a half-blocked isocyanate; reacting the half-blocked isocyanate with polyol to prepare a blocked prepolymer; reacting the blocked prepolymer with diglycidyl ether type epoxy resin to form an oxazolidone ring-containing epoxy resin; subjecting the oxazolidone ring-containing epoxy resin to chain extension using at least one saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group containing dicarboxylic acid; and modifying the chain-extended epoxy resin into amine-modified epoxy resin.
