    • PURPOSE: A method for a synthetic flowability controlling agent is provided, to improve the repairing property of the agent in used in coating solution and the adhesion of the agent to coating paper. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: reacting 10-20 parts by weight of acrylate containing at least one unsaturated group, 0.1-5.0 parts by weight of an emulsifying agent and 0.1-5.0 parts by weight of an initiator at 60-80°C for 1-3 hours to obtain the initial polymer; and adding 5 parts by weight of urea or less, 0.1-5.0 parts by weight of parts by weight of an initiator, 40-80 parts by weight of acrylate containing at least one unsaturated group, and 10-40 parts by weight of acrylic acid containing at least one unsaturated group to the initial polymer, and proliferation polymerizing them at 70-90°C for 2-4 hours. Preferably the acrylate containing at least one unsaturated group is selected from butyl methacrylate, ethyl acrylate and methyl methacrylate.

    • PURPOSE: A method for preparing a synthetic fluidity controller for paper coating is provided, to allow the viscosity of a coating solution to be controlled easily by using t-dodecylmercaptan as a molecular weight controller. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of reacting 3-7 wt% of acrylate having at least one unsaturated group, 0.02-2.0 wt% of an emulsifier and 0.02-2.0 wt% of an initiator at a temperature of 60-80 deg.C for 1-3 hours to prepare an initiator polymer; and adding 0.02-2.0 wt% of an initiator, 12-30 wt% of acrylate having at least one unsaturated group and 3-15 wt% of acrylic acid having at least one unsaturated group to the obtained initial polymer and propagation polymerizing the mixture at a temperature of 70-90 deg.C for 2-4 hours, wherein t-dodecylmercaptan is added to only the propagation polymerization step or both the initial polymerization and propagation polymerization steps as a molecular weight controller. Preferably the amount of t-dodecylmercaptan is 0.004-0.7 wt%.

CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the step of polymerizing a mixture of a styrene monomer, a butadiene monomer, a methyl methacrylate monomer, isoprene as a molecular weight controller, an emulsifier, an initiator and a reducing agent at a high temperature with controlling the gel content to be 60-85 %.
