    • PURPOSE: A squaraine-based dye for dye-sensitized solar battery is provided to collect orthochromatic film light to 780 nm by introducing indole group and pyrrole group, and to have improved short circuit photocurrent density(Jsc), photoelectricity conversion efficiency(η) relative to existing organic pigment, and excellent long time stability. CONSTITUTION: A squaraine-based dye is in chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, D is one compound of compounds in chemical formula 2-1, 2-2 and 2-3. In chemical formula 2-1, 2-2 and 2-3, R1 is a compound selected from hydrogen, a C1-6 alkyl group, a C1-6 alkoxy, alkoxyaryl, and a compound in chemical formula 2-4. R2 is C1-5 alkyl group. X is S or O, Y is O or CH2, and K is an integer of 0 or 1. In chemical formula 3, R3 is a C1-6 alkyl group, l and n is an integer of 0-2, and m is an integer of 0 or 1.
