    • A healthy and functional food for preventing and improving arthritis is provided to show excellent synergistic effects in anti-inflammatory and anti-pain actions using the extracts of Lithospermum erythrorhizon, Chelidonium majus and Cinnamomum cassia. A healthy and functional food for preventing and improving arthritis contains the extracts of Lithospermum erythrorhizon, Chelidonium majus and Cinnamomum cassia. A ratio of Lithospermum erythrorhizon, Chelidonium majus and Cinnamomum cassia is 1~5 : 0.5~2 : 0.5~2, more preferably 1 : 0.5 : 0.5. The extracts are extracted in a low alcoholic solvent such as water, methanol and ethanol. A method for preparing the extracts comprises the following steps of: washing Lithospermum erythrorhizon, Chelidonium majus and Cinnamomum cassia and slicing or chopping each of them; and extracting in 80~100°C of 85% ethanol for 1-3 days. The healthy and functional food can be powder, tablets, granules, pills, hard capsules, soft capsules or liquid. The healthy and functional food represents a raw juice or a drink.
