    • PURPOSE: A transformer protection relay method is provided to resolve a problem of including a component of high frequency when a trouble is generated in a transformer by a cause, such as a ground embedded line fault or an increase of transmitting line length by using a current and a voltage. CONSTITUTION: The transformer protection relay method includes the first step of measuring voltage and current of the primary and secondary winding of a single phase transformer. In the second step, induced voltage which are induced at the primary and secondary winding of the transformer by the voltage and current of the primary and secondary winding measured in the first step are calculated. And, in the third step, it is determined whether the transformer is out of order or not based on the whether an induced voltage ratio is equal to a turn ratio of the primary and secondary winding by comparing the induced voltage induced by the primary and secondary winding of the transformer calculated in the second step with the turn ratio of the primary and secondary winding.
