    • The present invention provides an apparatus for generating X-ray which is capable of fine tuning of a focal length of electron beam with a small and light-weighted configuration. An X-ray generation apparatus (100) for generating X-ray (x1) by irradiating a target (150) with electron beam (e1) includes: a permanent magnet lens (120) for converging the electron beam; a correction coil (130) which is installed in the electron beam side for the permanent magnet lens for correcting the focal length of the electron beam formed by the permanent magnet lens in the propagation direction; and the target on which the converged electron beam is irradiated. Because the permanent magnet is used as an electron lens, the configuration of the apparatus can be remarkably small and light-weighted compared to a typical apparatus. Also, the fine tuning of the intensity of the magnetic field and the fine adjustment of the focal length of the electron beam in the propagation direction can be possible by using the correction coil.
