    • PURPOSE: A thin curved segment magnet is provided to enable for high density of a sinter in a low oxygen capacity. CONSTITUTION: A rare earth sinter magnet contains 28-33 wt.% R, 0.8-1.5 wt.% B, and a balance of iron, wherein R is rare earth including Y, and B = Fe or Fe or Fe and Co. The segment magnet contains 0.3 wt.% or less oxygen, and has density 7.56 g/cm or more, coercive field strength iHc 1.1 MA/m (14 kOe) or more at room temperature and orientation of Br/4 pi Imax 96% or more in a direction for the anisotropy. Independent claims are also included for radial anisotropic ring magnets, a process for the production of a rare earth sinter magnet, a process for the production of a thin curved segment magnet, and a process for the production of a radial anisotropic ring magnet.
