Since a gate circuit and a drain circuit are separated, the circuit can be operated in all the A, AB and B classes. Since a voltage drop caused by resistor Rg can be neglected, the design or the like of the resistor Rg regarding the stability of high frequency characteristics preferential is enabled.

    • A signal from a dominant path is input into a synchronizing detector (36) via an ALC circuit (40) as a reference signal.     • PURPOSE: An amplifier is provided to optimize feed forward loops by adopting a method for compensating the distortion generated from a main amplifier. CONSTITUTION: A distortion signal is generated by combining a first branch signal with a second branch signal on a first combining point. Herein, the first branch signal is from an input signal on a first branch point, and the second branch signal is from an output signal on a second branch point. And, the distortion signal is generated while controlling amplitude and phases depending upon a control signal. Herein, the control is operated on at least one of plural signal paths from the first branch point toward the first combining point. Thus, the distortion signal represents distortion elements. Then, the distortion elements contained in the output signal are compensated by using the distortion signal for generating a distortion compensating signal based on the output signal. Herein, the distortion elements in the distortion compensating signal are prevented or removed. The synchronism of the distortion signal is detected based on a reference signal for generating a control signal. Herein, the reference signal contains an average power, which is not changed even if the total average power is changed. Moreover, the control signal is generated based on one of input signal, output signal, or distortion compensating signal or based on one branch signal of the signals.
