    • PURPOSE: A processing method of filter media for aerobic sewage treatment is provided to increase oxygen transfer rate by increasing specific surface area (surface area/unit volume) and porosity, thereby increasing the amount of biofilm per unit volume and mathematical load at the same time in processing of media of Japanese cedar chips. CONSTITUTION: The processing method of filter media for aerobic sewage treatment comprises a logging process (S1) of lumbering Japanese cedar so that airway tube of Japanese cedar is maintained; a moisture removing process (S2) for removing moisture by opening cell of the airway tube of the cut Japanese cedar; a processing process (S3) of processing the moisture removed Japanese cedar into chips having a square shape; a dipping process (S4) of dipping the processed Japanese cedar chips into lithium oxide or lithium silicate solution for 20 to 24 hours; washing process (S5) of washing the dipped Japanese cedar chips; dehydration process (S6) of dehydrating the Japanese cedar chips by injecting the washed Japanese cedar chips into a dehydrator; injection process (S7) of injecting the dehydrated Japanese cedar chip media into an aerobic filter tank; and aging process (S8) of aging the Japanese cedar chips for a certain period of time by injecting bio fungus body into the Japanese cedar chip media injected into the aerobic filter tank.
