The shifter lever extends through the slot to define the shift path. The gate provides a gate profile and a secondary detent profile. The gate profile includes a plurality of grooves. The shifter mechanism includes a shift frame or a base(12), a module shifter or a shifter lever assembly(14), a connecting pin(16) for mounting the module shift at the shift base, a shifter knob(18), and a shifter bezel or a cover(20). The shifter base has holes(22) to mount the shifter base at the motor vehicle.

    • A shift lock assembly is provided to lock at a wide transmission position where a lock lever enables to be moved from a low position, a middle position and a high position by responding to various control parameters. The shift lock assembly(5) contains a transmission base(10) having a lower part(12) coupled with the bottom of a vehicle to mount various exterior components of a transmission and the shift lock assembly strongly and plural features formed to house various components of the shift lock assembly, a transmission lever(15) moving among various transmission positions and having a pivot member connected with the transmission base, a detent member(25) having an upper part provided with a coupling feature(35) and coupled with the pivot member to produce a pivot movement, a lock lever(40) having two side portions, a primary end portion(50) attached to the transmission base by a pivot and a secondary end portion(55) contacted with the coupling feature of the detent member, and at least one solenoid(60) having primary and secondary solenoids(64) located on two sides of the lock lever and connected to the lock lever to thereby be moved among a low position, a middle position and a high position by responding to various control parameters and moving the lock member against the detent member in a pivot mode.

    • A parking brake is provided to minimize travel loss of a cable by isolating a cable from the movement of a brake lever to cause a release mechanism to move independent of the brake lever. A park brake comprising a brake lever(15), a release mechanism, and a cable(30). The brake lever is move with regard to a pivot. The release mechanism is associated with the brake lever, wherein the release mechanism is actuated for allowing selective movement of the brake lever. The cable is connected to the release mechanism. The cable is isolated from movement of the brake lever. The brake lever is movable about a pivot that is coupled to a housing. A sector(50) is attached to the housing. The sector is provided with a plurality of teeth formed thereon for engaging a pawl(60) of a pawl plate(65) contacting with a brake lever. The sector allows for the pawl to contact and lock with the sector to minimize cable travel loss in the park brake.

A parking brake assembly(10) comprises a pivot shaft(20), a brake lever(12), a roller clutch(8), and a lock releasing device(16). The pivot shaft is supported at a vehicle by a fixed supporting part. The brake lever is rotatably combined by a main pivot(18). The roller clutch, which has a roller supporting part and one-way rollers, enables the main pivot and the brake lever to move to a one direction. The lock releasing device has a block(36) selectively moved between a locked position where the fixed supporting part and the roller supporting part are movably combined, and a locked state releasing position where the fixed supporting part is separated from the roller supporting part.
