The second stator comprises third and fourth magnetic rings(46,42) magnetized by the annular magnet. The collector comprises a first collector(61) inserted between the first and second magnetic rings and a second collector(63) inserted between the third and fourth magnetic rings. The magnetic detector detects the amount of change in magnetic field between the first and second collectors.

A system for tracking the sun includes an optical unit, a PSD sensor(110), and a signal processing unit(120). The optical unit concentrates light, including a condensing lens(101), and a prism. The PSD sensor includes a light receiving part receiving the light spot concentrated by the optical unit. The light receiving part includes a photosensitive surface for recognizing the light intensity distribution of the light spot and generating an electronic signal corresponding to the result. A signal processing unit calculates information on the position and the altitude of the sun by analyzing the electronic signal output from the PSD sensor.
