    • A packet relay device in a wireless network, a relay method, and the data structure of a MAC layer used therefor are provided to prevent congestion of a network by dividing a packet into frame units having a certain size and re-transmitting only an erroneous frame. A discrimination unit reads destination address included in a received packet, and then checks whether the address is identical to its address. If the destination address is identical to its address, the received packet is transferred to a next destination address, and if the destination address is not identical, the received packet is discarded. The received packet includes a header field including a source address, a destination address, and a final destination address. The data field is divided into frames having a certain size.

    • PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for measuring an SIR(Signal to Interference Ratio) and a receiver containing the same are provided to exactly measure an SIR by detecting only a pure user signal power from a received signal. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for measuring an SIR comprises an average signal power measurement part(20), an average interference signal power measurement part(30), an adder(40), and an SIR generation part(300). The average signal power measurement part(20) receives one of complex multi-path signals and measures the average signal power containing user signal power, noise power, and another user signal power. The average interference signal power measurement part(30) receives one complex multi-path signal from the average signal power measurement part(20) and measures the average signal power containing the noise power of a desired user signal and the power of another user signal using an unused OVSF(Orthogonal Variable Spreading Factor) code. The adder(40) outputs a pure user signal power using the outputs of the average signal power measurement part(20) and the average interference signal power measurement part(30). The SIR generation part(300) divides the user signal power by the average interference signal power and outputs an SIR.

    • PURPOSE: A security system is provided to generate the alarm to a supervisor when invader covers the lens of video camera. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of video cameras are configured to take a picture of a screen of a lookout region. A plurality of video decoders(20) extract brightness signals by decoding and processing image signals from the video cameras. A blind detecting part(24) detects an edge component in an image by filtering a high-frequency element of a brightness signal extracted by a corresponding one of the video decoders. The blind detecting part(24) extracts values of detected edge elements in the first threshold value range and accumulates extracted values during one image. The blind detecting part(24) generates an alarm drive signal when the accumulated value is below the second threshold value.
