    • PURPOSE: A pixel array, an image sensor including the same, and a driving method thereof are provided to broaden a dynamic range of a pixel array by controlling the size of a reset voltage applied to a reset transistor. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting switch unit(TX) is arranged on a substrate of a photodiode. A storing area is formed on a substrate of the transmitting switch unit. A varactor capacitor(Vcap) is formed in the storing area. A reset switching unit(RX) is arranged on a substrate of the storing area. The reset switch unit controls an operation voltage range of the storing area before reading out a rest level and a signal level of the storing area.

    • PURPOSE: An imaging apparatus and an imaging method are provided to secure a wide range in photography. CONSTITUTION: A detection unit(202) detects the imaging state of a subject. An operation controller(206) controls the operation of a driving film body. The film body shields the light to the imaging device. A scanning controller(204) eliminates electric charges charged in the imaging device before the driving of the film body. The scanning controller controls the exposure start scanning of the imaging device. According to the imaging state of the subject, the scanning controller controls time to eliminate the electric charge charged in the imaging device.

The column readout circuit generates the low-illumination area information.     • An image sensor is provided to effectively increase dynamic range of an image sensor by connecting a switching transistor and a storage capacitor between a floating diffusion terminal and a reset transistor. An image sensor comprises a photodiode, a reset transistor(240), a drive transistor(250), and a selection transistor(260), and includes a switching transistor(S1)(280) and a storage capacitor(SC)(290). The switching transistor is formed between the photodiode and the reset transistor. The storage capacitor is formed in one side of the switching transistor. A transfer transistor(220) and a floating diffusion region(FD) are formed between the photodiode and the reset transistor. The switching transistor is formed between the floating diffusion region and the reset transistor.
