    • PURPOSE: A bearing assembly and a spindle motor including the same are provided to prevent damage to a stopper and improve a joining force of a shaft and the stopper simultaneously, thereby maximizing the performance and the lifetime of the stopper. CONSTITUTION: A bearing assembly (110) includes a sleeve (112) and a stopper (113). The sleeve supports a shaft (111) including a hollow (S) on a side. An external wall of the shaft, which forms the hollow, is press-fitted into the stopper preventing the shaft from being excessively lifted. The cross-sectional area of the axial uppermost portion of the hollow is formed to be smaller than that of the axial lowest portion of the hollow. The axial cross-sectional area of the hollow becomes increased to the axial lower side.

    • PURPOSE: A spindle motor is provided to minimize deformation in a circumferential direction by forming sleeve and a cover facing each other in a longitudinal direction by welding in a horizontal butt joint welding method. CONSTITUTION: A sleeve (120) is formed in a hollow cylindrical shape for rotatably supporting a shaft (130). A horizontal butt joint welding method forms a weld zone of a ring shape along the welding joint of the sleeve and a cover (170) arranged in an axial direction. The cover is arranged in parallel with the lower part of the sleeve for closing the open lower part of the sleeve. The welding joint between the outer circumferential surface of the cover and the outer circumferential surface of the sleeve is fixed in the horizontal butt joint welding method. The edge of the cover coincides with the shape of the outer circumferential surface of the lower part of the sleeve.

The pressure reduction unit is formed on the top surface of the thrust plate and suppresses the movement of the interface of the lubricating fluid.

    • PURPOSE: A hydraulic dynamic bearing assembly and a motor with the same are provided to maximize the length of a span of the dynamic bearing and to enable to maintain pumping fluid in a pumping direction initially intended continuously. CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic dynamic bearing assembly(100) comprises a sleeve(120), a first dynamic pressure generating groove, and a second dynamic pressure generating groove. The sleeve includes a shaft hole so that a shaft(110) is fitted into the shaft hole to be rotatable. The first and second dynamic pressure generating grooves are arranged in at least one of an outer diameter of the shaft and an inner diameter of the sleeve, thereby inducing the generation of the dynamic pressure to lubricating fluid being charged in a bearing gap formed between the shaft and the sleeve. The fist dynamic pressure generating groove arranged in the axial upper side pumps the lubricating fluid to the axial lower side.
