    • PURPOSE: A method for preparing a rubber latex for a methyl methacrylate-butadiene-styrene(MBS) resin, a rubber latex and a methyl methacrylate-butadiene-styrene resin prepared from the rubber latex are provided to control the glass transition temperature of the rubber latex by multi-staged polymerization, thereby improving the impact resistance at a low temperature. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of making a core polymer from 10-70 wt% of a monomer mixture of a conjugated diene-based butadiene and a monoethylene unsaturated aromatic compound by emulsion polymerization; and adding 30-90 wt% of the monomer mixture to the core polymer and making an outer rubber layer onto the core polymer by emulsion polymerization. The monomer mixture comprises 50-95 wt% of a conjugated diene-based butadiene and 5-40 wt% of a monoethylene unsaturated aromatic compound. Preferably the first-stage emulsion polymerization is carried out by employing 0.01-5 parts by weight of a graft cross-linking agent based on 100 parts by weight of the added monomer; and the second-stage emulsion polymerization is carried out by employing 0.01-5 parts by weight of a graft cross-linking agent based on 100 parts by weight of the rest monomer.

    • PURPOSE: A method for preparing a rubber-modified styrene-based copolymer transparent resin is provided, to improve the transparency, the impact resistance and the gloss by using a dual structured rubber. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the step of graft copolymerizing a styrene-based monomer and a (meth)acryl ester-based monomer in the presence of a styrene-butadiene copolymer, wherein the styrene-butadiene copolymer has a 5% toluene solution viscosity of 20-40 cp(at 25 deg.C), contains styrene backbone by 30-50%, and is a block or random copolymer. Preferably the rubber particle dispersed into the rubber-modified styrene-based resin has a dual structure of an onion structure and a core cell structure; and has a mean particle size less than 1.2 micrometer.
