    • PURPOSE: An ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) subscriber interface device and method capable of UPC(User Parameter Control) are provided to prevent the congestion in corresponding connection, in the ATM subscriber interface device. CONSTITUTION: In a UPC(User Parameter Control) unit(10), a user parameter processor(18) delivers a connection identifier received from a received connection identifier manager(9) to a user parameter table manager(19), to read a user parameter and perform the UPC. And the user parameter processor(18) decides the update of a user parameter table(21), and discards ATM cells or performs a tagging function for outputting to a received header conversion and performance monitor(11). The user parameter manager(19) registers or inquires a new user parameter table, and reads or updates a registered user parameter requested in the user parameter processor(18). The user parameter table(21) is configured with an SRAM(Static Random Access Memory).

    • PURPOSE: A method and a device for managing ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) connection identification are provided to use VPI/VCI(Virtual Path Identification/Virtual Channel Identification) and a line number as connection ID needed for processing cells, and to eliminate restriction in using the VPI/VCI to a subscriber or an operator, so that connection can be easily controlled. CONSTITUTION: A connection identification table managing unit transmits VPI(Virtual Path Identification), VCI(Virtual Channel Identification), and a line number to a connection identification table according to a command of managing connection identification from an external, and decides the kind of the command. If the command is for connection identification registration, the command is registered in the connection identification table and a registration result is notified. If the command is for connection identification deletion, whether the connection identification corresponding to the VPI, VCI and line number exists in the connection identification table is confirmed, to delete the connection identification and a deletion result is notified. If the command is for identification search, whether the connection identification corresponding to the VPI, VCI, and line number exists in the connection identification table is confirmed, to read the connection identification and a read result is notified.

    • PURPOSE: A cell spacer is provided to remove a queue for searching a cell slot, which is not occupied, and secure a transmission order of cells by using a bucket calendar, having special queues every cell time. CONSTITUTION: A cell spacer of an ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) matching device using a bucket calendar comprises: a bucket calendar having a bucket such as a FIFO(First In First Out) storing a buffer address of an output cell every cell slot; a cell spacer including an emission FIFO. The bucket comprises a cell counter for showing up the number of cells, registered in the cell slots, and seven cell pointers for registering cell buffer address, in which cells are stored. An ATM cell, CDV(cell delay variance), cell arriving time t are inputted in the cell spacer, and when the cell is inputted in temporary time, the inputted cell is stored in the cell buffer. The stored cell buffer address is registered in a bucket of a slot, located in the backside as the CDV than the current time, and when it is the time to output, the registered cell buffer address in the slot is read, and the inputted cell by the method of outputting cells is delayed to be performed as spacing.
