    • PURPOSE: A micro chip type oxygen gas sensor using rate-of-rise potentiometry is provided to measure oxygen gas dissolved in a sample. CONSTITUTION: A working electrode is a cobalt electrode layer(15) with buffer hydrogel(16) and an ion-selective gas permeable membrane(17) applied thereon. A reference electrode is a silver chloride electrode(14), which is not sensitive to oxygen, with ion-selective gas permeable membrane of composition same with the working electrode. The working electrode is a solid metal electrode with cobalt applied by electroplating. The buffer hydrogel of the working electrode is made by dissolving 2-5mM of sodium chloride and 2-7 weight % of hygroscopic substance in buffer solution.

    • PURPOSE: A potentiometry ammonia gas sensor and manufacturing method of the same are provided to rapidly detect ammonia gas. CONSTITUTION: An ammonia gas sensor includes a printed circuit board(1); a working electrode; a reference electrode; insulating membranes(4,22); inside reference solution(25); and an ammonia gas permeable membrane(5). The ammonia gas permeable membrane is made of finely porous polypropylene. Porosity of the polypropylene is 30-50%. Height and a radius of a single air cell of the polypropylene are 0.030-0.10 micron and 0.10-0.25 micron, respectively. Thickness of the membrane is 20-30 micron. The printed circuit board is made of one of alumina, glass and plastic containing polyester and polycarbonate. Electrode material of the working electrode and the reference electrode is one of silver, palladium, copper, platinum, silver/silver chloride, mercury, mercury oxide, silver containing 1-5 weight % of palladium and silver coated with nafion. The inside reference solution is hydrogel comprising electrolyte with a concentration of 10¬-6 - 10¬-1 M and 1-15 weight % of water soluble polymer.
