    • A noise reduction device in a caliper of a vehicle is provided to avoid specific frequencies(200 to 300Hz) that generates brake moan noise by operating a variable mass damper according to the movement of a pad during brake operation. A noise reduction device in a caliper of a vehicle comprises a caliper housing(21), a brake disk, a pad, a steel bar(24), an ER(Electro-Rheology) fluid damper(25), and a thermoelectric element(27). The brake disk is installed within the caliper housing. The pad is installed on opposite sides of the brake disk, parallel to the brake disk. The steel bar is installed on the caliper housing to be moved by the pad when a brake is operated, has a protrusion(24a) on the front side of the steel bar for pushing the ER fluid damper. The ER fluid damper, filled with ER fluid, is installed on the caliper housing on one side of the steel bar to be assembled with the steel bar when the brake is operated, having a connecting groove to be fitted by the protrusion. The thermoelectric element is connected to the ER fluid damper.

The inboard and the outboard frames are connected by stepped surface-contact of the contact surfaces.

A structure of a brake caliper comprises a cooling boss(5), a guide member(7) and a sealing unit(9). The guide member is formed through the caliper body to guide reciprocation of the cooling boss. The upper cylinder and the lower cylinder are connected through the medium of plural return springs, and the bearing is placed between the upper cylinder and the hydraulic piston.
