    • PURPOSE: A television antenna device for a vehicle is provided to receive a wide band signal of a mobile TV for a vehicle in a north America using one two-pole VSB-M channel tracking antenna. CONSTITUTION: A pole antenna(32) receives a wide band wireless signal. The two-pole antenna includes an in-bar antenna. A DC motor(48) moves the two-pole antenna up and down according to the selected channel. A channel tracking RF(Radio Frequency) tuner(42) controls a resonant point of an LNA(Low Noise Amplifier) and a bandwidth of a filter. A front-end unit(44) drives the DC motor according to the selected channel. The front-end part controls a gain of the LNA by measuring the intensity of the wide band wireless signal.

    • The present invention relates to an antenna element for a portable communication device as well as to a portable communication device including such an antenna element.
