    • PURPOSE: A start motor is provided to reduce manufacturing costs and to prevent the overheating of the motor by winding with aluminum and copper wires. CONSTITUTION: A start motor comprises a primary coil and a secondary coil. The primary coil is made of aluminum cable wound with small winding number. The secondary coil is wound in the primary coil circumference and is serially connected with the primary coil. The constant of the primary coil is 1.23 or 1.35. The error range on the winding number of the primary coil and the secondary coil is +/-2.

    • PURPOSE: A remanufacturing method for a bush of a starter is provided to reduce manufacturing cost of a product by recycling a core. CONSTITUTION: A remanufacturing method for a bush of a starter comprises the following steps. A through hole(13) is formed on a bush(11), worn away to be uneven, using a boring device to be bigger than a fixed size in a through hole forming step. A female thread is formed on the inner circumference of the through hole using a tap in a female thread forming step. A replacement bush(12) with a male thread is connected to the bush with the female thread in a replacement bush connecting step.

    • A starter is provided to minimize en electromagnetic switch in the radial direction of a motor while ensuring a sufficient distance between terminal bolts. A starter(1) includes a motor(2) and an electromagnetic switch(3). The motor generates rotating force for starting an engine when powered. The electromagnetic switch is arranged in the vicinity of the radial outside of the motor, and includes a pair of fixed contacts(19,20) electrically connected to a motor circuit for supplying power to the motor and a movable contact(21) for selectively controlling the fixed contacts. The electromagnetic switch selectively opens/closes the motor circuit. The electromagnetic switch further includes a contact cover(11), a terminal bolt(18), and a conductive metal member(22). The contact cover has a cup shape having an end wall and a side wall, and accommodate the fixed contacts and the movable contact. The terminal bolt has one end protruded toward the end wall of the contact cover, extended in the axial direction of the motor and fastened onto the contact cover such that the end of the terminal bolt is electrically connected to a power supply. The metal member has a first end and a second end(22b), wherein the first end is inserted into the contact cover through the side wall of the contact cover and the second end is electrically connected to the motor. The first fixed contact of the electromagnetic switch is electrically connected to the terminal bolt, and the second contact of the electromagnetic switch is constituted by the first end of the metal member.
