    • PURPOSE: An antifouling paint composition is provided, which is low toxic and excellent in storing stability and antifouling property and can be used for fish nets, ships, underwater interpositions, farm construction, and etc. CONSTITUTION: The antifouling paint composition comprises: an alkyd resin as a binder resin, which is an aqueous emulsion of an alkyd resin emulsified by using a branched alcohol alkoxylate represented by the formula 3: £CH3(CH2)n|£CH3(CH2)m|£H(AO)pO(CH2)q|CH as an emulsifier; a triphenyl-borane pyridine mixture represented by the formula 1 as a first antifouling effective component; a metal pyrithione represented by the formula 2 as a second antifouling effective component; at least one compound as a third antifouling effective component selected from manganese ethylene bisdithiocarbamate, zinc ethylene bisdithiocarbamate, bis dimethyl dithiocarbamoyl zinc ethylene bisdithiocarbamate, copper oxide(I), copper thiocyanate, N-(fluoro dichloro methyl thio)-phthalimide, and etc. In the formulas, M is Cu or Zn, n and m are integers of 1-15, p is an integer of 2-50, AO is a C2-C4 alkylene oxide residue, and q is an integer of 1-2.

    • PURPOSE: A tread rubber composition is proposed to reduce vulcanization time and to retain cut-and-chip performance by means of specific compounds, for example zinc-2-mercaptotolu-imidazole. CONSTITUTION: A tread rubber composition is prepared by blending tetraisobutyl thiuram monosulfide as vulcanizing promotor and TBBS as sulfenamides vulcanizing promotor and adding zinc-2-mercaptotolu-imidazole to it. In case where prompt vulcanization is required, thiurams promotor such as tetramethyl thiuram disulfide(TMTD) or tetraethyl thiuram disulfide(TETD) are preferably used, although sulfenamides such as TBBS may reduce vulcanization time. The tread rubber composition can reduce vulcanization time while retaining cut-and-chip performance.
