    • PURPOSE: A human joint structure estimation apparatus and a method thereof are provided to estimate the location of joints only using multi view images of a human body, thereby acquiring the posture data of the human body without data which is inputted by a user or the posture data of adjacent frames. CONSTITUTION: A multi view image acquisition unit (100) receives multi view images in which human body is photographed. A human body foreground separation unit (200) extracts a foreground corresponding to the human body from the acquired multi view images. A human body shape reconstruction unit (300) produces the three-dimensional shape data of the human body. A skeleton data extraction unit (400) produces three-dimensional skeleton data from the three-dimensional shape data. A skeleton structure estimation unit (500) estimates the location of each joint in the human skeleton structure using the three-dimensional skeleton data and anthropometry data.
