    • PURPOSE: A method and a device are provided to prevent the evaporation of liquefied gas, especially, liquid methane stored in an impermeable insulating tank and being dried or not being dried in a supporting structure of a methane tanker. CONSTITUTION: If fluid coolant is nitrogen, the storage of the nitrogen is useful for the line in respective tank, and the nitrogen restrains the content of combustible oxygen by being emitted into a ballast tank. To prevent the evaporation of the liquefied gas placed in a set of floating reservoir tank or a ground reservoir tank, or stored in an impermeable insulating tank(1) dried in a supporting structure in a ship(N), the fluid coolant is passed via a mass of liquefied gas(L) and the mass is cooled to a slight lower temperature than reference storage temperature. Thereby, the heat generating while transporting and storing the fluid coolant is offset.
