    • A method for testing the airtightness of an automotive wheel (30) with a three-dimensional stepped portion (15) according to the present invention comprises: a step (a) of forming an annular protrusion (35) on the rim (32) of the wheel (30) during a casting process; a step (b) of performing a first process on the upper surface of the protrusion (35), mounting the wheel (30) on testing equipment (20), and then testing the wheel (20); and a step (c) of removing the protrusion (35) through a second process on the wheel (30) passing the test of the step (b). As a result, the testing equipment can be directly applied to the test without being tuned to a design in which the front shape of an aluminum wheel may be complicated, thereby preventing the increase of all costs relating to the test.
