    • PURPOSE: A mobile communication terminal, a network connection system using the same, and a method therefor are provided to add a home gateway function and a UPnP(Universal Plug and Play) control point application function in the mobile communication terminal, control UPnP devices, and connect the UPnP devices to an external network. CONSTITUTION: An interface unit(50) receives a device description file and a service description file from a UPnP device having its local IP(Internet Protocol). A device retrieving module(51) parses the received device description file, and retrieves the corresponding UPnP device. A service recognizing module(52) parses the service description file received from the interface unit(50), and recognizes a service function of the corresponding UPnP device, which is retrieved from the device retrieving module(51). A device control module(53) controls the corresponding UPnP device, using the recognized service function. A microcomputer(56) controls the interface unit(50), the device retrieving module(51), the service recognizing module(52), and the device control module(53).

    • PURPOSE: A data synchronizing method between a mobile terminal and an internet phone and a system thereof are provided to simply and directly synchronize data. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal transmits a request message requesting an IP(Internet Protocol) address to a destination location in response to a synchronization request(203). When the IP address is acquired, the mobile terminal connects the destination corresponding to the IP address and proceeds date synchronization according to the synchronization request(217). When the required message is received, the internet phone creates a response message including the IP address and transmits it to the mobile terminal(207). The internet phone proceeds the mobile terminal connected by the IP address and the data synchronization.

    • A method of managing printing in an environment with a plurality of workstations and a plurality of printers in one or more networks and wherein the network also includes a document server and an identification generator, the method comprising:-polling a workstation when it connects to the network to determine what printers are connected thereto;-determining a unique ID of the workstation;-determining the type of printer;-determining the configuration of the printer from the type of printer and workstation location;-determining an ID code for each printer connected to the connected workstation using the identification generator;-developing a look up table with the unique ID of the workstation; type, configuration and ID code of each printer;-receiving a print request from a workstation at the document server;-identifying the configuration of a printer from the look up table in response to the print request;-sending the print request to the identified printer with the appropriate ID code, as identified by the look up table.
