    • An adaptive routing method and apparatus based on packet size are provided to set a route more properly and efficiently according to application or the packet size, thereby improving a transmission delay time or throughput to use a proper routing protocol according to the QOS(Quality Of Service) of each connection. A configuration of a node(200) having a routing protocol comprises a central processing unit(210), a routing processor(220), an application information extractor(230), a packet selection table(240), and a routing table(250). The central processing unit transmits received packets to the application information extractor if a routing request message is received. The application information extractor extracts application type information from a TCP/IP(Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) packet header, the received routing request message. The routing processor has the routing protocol, drivers the routing protocol to select a packet transmission route, searches the packet selection table to select packet size corresponding to received application information, and reflects the selected packet size to the routing protocol to set the packet transmission route. The routing table includes information about the packet transmission route.

    • A WiBro network interworking method and system of a WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) terminal are provided to manage QoS, traffic control and billing of users although users use an unlicensed band. An RS(Relay Station)(200) requests allocation of a dedicated CID(Connection Identification) corresponding to a QoS level of a corresponding terminal user according to an Internet access request of WLAN terminals(100a,100b,100c). A RAS(Radio Access System)(300) allocates a dedicated CID for an Internet access of the WLAN terminals according to the request of the RS. The RS maps the dedicated CID allocated by the RAS and a node ID of the WLAN terminals to provide an Internet service to the WLAN terminal user. The RS includes a WiBro connection manager for performing a WiBro initiation process with the RAS in a WiBro network, a Wireless LAN host AP for applying association to a corresponding terminal if a WiBro network connection request is received from the WLAN terminals, a WiBro interworking setting manager for setting a connection for WiBro network interworking of the WLAN terminals according to a used IP network if user authentication according to a request of the wireless LAN host AP is normally completed, and a mapper for mapping the dedicated CID allocated from the RAS and the node ID of the WLAN terminal.

    • A data forwarding device in a multi wireless mesh network system which supports more than different kinds of wireless communication protocols and a method thereof are provided to switch user data sent for transmission after a link to be used for transmission is selected, to another wireless link according to a link situation, thereby minimizing loss of user data. A neighbor buffer(100) temporarily stores user data for each neighbor. When user data is inputted, a user data processor(200) stores the user data in the buffer by next-hop unit instead of wireless link unit. At least one wireless link processor(300) demands dispatching of the user data after completing transmission of the user data stored in self queues. A neighbor DB(400) stores available wireless link information and user data transmission scheduling information. A dispatcher(500) obtains user data corresponding to a wireless link from the buffer by referring to the DB only when the dispatching is demanded, and en-queues the obtained data in the wireless link processor.

    • A method and an apparatus for selecting a routing protocol in a network are provided to maximize a transmission efficiency by minimizing a packet transmission delay time. A node of a network includes plural routing processors(210-1 to 210-n) and a protocol selector(220). Different routing protocols are mounted on the routing processors which include routing tables storing path information set according to the respective routing protocols. The protocol selector includes a selection table for setting a proper routing protocol for a requested application. The protocol selector selects the routing protocol for the application which is analyzed by a path request message from a client, from the selection table. The protocol selector transmits the path request message to the routing processor containing the proper routing protocol and executes the path request message. The node includes a routing table manager(230) and a wireless connection unit(240).
