    • PURPOSE: An image processing device and a method for comparing an object shape in real-time are provided to reduce the error in shape comparison depending on the size and arrangement angle of an object by judging the shape similarity. CONSTITUTION: A binary image generator(120) generates binary image data, and a subject connection component detector(130) analyzes the binary image data. The subject connection component detector displays the pixel value of an image in arrangement. A subject property decision unit(140) detects the characteristic information depending on the size and angle. A subject shape acquisition unit converts the component value arrangement. The component value arrange is mapped to an object window. The subject shape comparison unit(180) compares the component value arrangement with the reference component arrangement.

    • A face recognition method using an image variation sensing function and a system thereof are provided to discriminate the image variation of a photographed picture, thereby increasing the efficiency in the face recognition. A face recognition method using image variation sensing comprises the following steps. A client transmits a photographed picture to a service managing server(S100). The service managing server pre-processes the picture for face recognition(S102), and then extracts a face image based on the photographed picture in order to discriminate face components forming the face image(S104). And then, the service managing server extracts face feature points formed with the face components in order to sense the image variation through the pattern change based on the extracted face feature points(S108), and executes at least one of a face recognition application which uses the face feature points based on the sensed result and a face recognition application which uses the pre-processed image(S110).

    • A cancelable biometric system and a method using vector multiplication of a converted matrix and a keyword are provided to enable a user to cancel biometric information of the user by using a global variable, a user-defined weight, and a user-defined replacement matrix as information for biometric recognition, and updating the user-defined replacement matrix with changing a user keyword. An input part(10) receives a biometric image and the keyword of the user, converts the received keyword into a random key string, and provides the replacement matrix from the converted key string. An image replacing part(20) obtains the replaced biometric image of the user by using the replacement matrix. A database(40) stores a template made by the user-defined weight and the user-defined replacement matrix, and the global various replaced with a random master key. A central processor(30) recognizes the user from the replaced image information, and the template and the global variable stored in the database.
