A rainwater infiltration system(200) comprises a manhole(210) opened toward the surface of the earth where rainwater flows inward primarily, a rainwater infiltration structure(230) hollowed inward to form a space for housing rainwater and provided with many rainwater passing holes to discharge rainwater continuously, and a pre-treatment structure(220) filtering out impurities mixed in rainwater, and then sending out to the rainwater infiltration structure, wherein the pre-treatment structure contains a settling tank for settling particle materials of high density to the bottom, a floating tank, and a filter tank filtering the remaining impurities mixed in rainwater from rainwater passing through the settling tank and the floating tank.

    • An underground structure for collecting and storing rainwater is provided to collect and store rainwater filtered by non-woven fabric layers effectively and to recycle the rainwater by forming water-permeable pavement on the surface of the earth, forming many base layers on the lower part of the water-permeable pavement and piling up non-woven fabric layers between the base layers. An underground structure for collecting and storing rainwater comprises base layers between one and ten piled up on a ground layer(17) in order, water-permeable pavement(10) located on the uppermost base layer, non-woven fabric layers(12) located between the uppermost base layer and the water-permeable pavement, and, the lowermost base layer and the ground layer, and a catch basin(18) connected with the base layers and located on the side of the base layers. The base layers include a first base layer(11) formed by piling up broken stones having the average particle size of 9~13mm to a thickness of 5~8cm, a second base layer(13) formed by piling up broken stones having the average particle size of 20~25mm to a thickness of 10~12cm, a third base layer(14) formed by piling up broken stones having the average particle size of 40~45mm to a thickness of 15~20cm, a fourth base layer(15) formed by piling up broken stones having the average particle size of 70~75mm to a thickness of 25~30cm, and a fifth base layer(16) formed by piling up broken stones having the average particle size of 30~35mm to a thickness of 70~75cm. The water-permeable pavement is formed by filling up broken stones having the average particle size of 2~5mm and broken stones having the average particle size of 9~13mm between many pavement blocks in a ratio of 1 to 1, wherein the broken stones having the average particle size of 2~5mm are filled after the broken stones having the average particle size of 9~13mm are filled.

    • A manhole for sewage and drainage is provided to prevent a drain outlet from clogging by installing foreign matter blocks at a drainage unit body. A manhole for sewage and drainage comprises a drainage unit(10), a sewage unit(30), and an intermediate pipe(50). The drainage unit includes a body(12), a drain outlet(14), and a cover(22). The body shapes into a pipe. The drain outlet is attached to the bottom of the body to drain rainwater coming from outside. The cover is mounted on the top of the body, and provided with a plurality of holes to let rainwater gather in the body. The sewage unit includes a sewage body(32), a sewage outlet(34), a sewage inlet, and a polluted water inlet(38). The sewage outlet is attached to the bottom of the sewage body to discharge waste water coming from individual houses. The sewage inlet is attached to the sewage body in opposite side of the sewage outlet to receive waste water from individual houses. The polluted water inlet is installed between the sewage outlet and the sewage inlet to receive polluted water from individual houses. The intermediate pipe is disposed between the drainage unit and sewage unit. A foreign matter blocks are installed at the drainage unit body to filter foreign matters in rainwater.

    • A wastewater treatment system for treating excess wastewater from a sewer system includes a container having first and second portions adapted to receive excess wastewater from the sewer system, and a generally horizontally oriented screen arrangement disposed in the second portion of the container. The system further includes a treating agent dispenser for introducing a treating agent into the wastewater, and an effluent passage in fluid communication with the second portion of the container. During a sufficient rain event, the wastewater flows from the sewer system into the container, through the screen arrangement, and then into the effluent passage, such that the wastewater flows generally in a first direction through the first portion of the container, then generally in a second direction different than the first direction through the second portion of the container. The treating agent dispenser is operative to introduce the treating agent to thereby sufficiently disinfect at least a portion of the wastewater.
