    • PURPOSE: A recycled polyester yarn using waste polyester and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to recycle a source of pollution, namely polyester waste and to offer the recycled polyester yarn having the same material property of regular fiber dyeability as a non-recycled polyester. CONSTITUTION: The method of manufacturing recycled polyester yarn using waste polyester is as follows. The waste polyester flake and ethylene glycol (EG) are mixed at a molar ratio of 1.0:0.1~2.0 and melted, and then bis-2-hydroxyethyl terephthalate (BHET) is created by depolymerizing a melted mixture. Filtering eliminates foreign materials in the bis-2-hydroxyethyl terephthalate (BHET) created from the depolymerization process through a filter. In the polycondensation polymerization, the bis -2- hydroxyethyl terephthalate (BHET) is polymerized under vacuum conditions, and the polyester is created. A recycled polyester chip is manufactured from the polycondensation process. The chip mixing mixes the recycled polyester chip according to its color.
