    • PURPOSE: A lensmeter equipped with a pupil distance measuring unit is provided to allow a user to stably wear an eyeglass having a large size and to rapidly measure a pupil distance regardless of the size of the eyeglass. CONSTITUTION: A lensmeter has a pupil distance measuring unit. The pupil distance measuring unit includes a nose suspending section(10) for fixing an eyeglass by supporting a nose pendant of the eyeglass, a supporting section(30) for supporting the nose suspending section(10) and a housing(14) for accommodating the nose suspending section(10) therein. The housing(14) is coupled to the lensmeter in such a manner that the housing(14) horizontally moves in left and right directions. In order to slidably couple the housing(14) to the lensmeter, a shaft(20) is coupled between the lensmeter and the housing(14) so that the housing(14) slidably moves along the shaft(20).

The breakage of the lens is restricted by automatically regulating fixing pressure according to the material of the lens.
