    • PURPOSE: A contact roll grinder is provided to prevent the reduction of the productivity by grinding the surface of a contact roll without removing a strip from a cabin of a strip grinder. CONSTITUTION: A pressurizing roll(20) is stuck to the upper part of a contact roll by locating under a moving frame. A tension roll is supported in the moving frame. A driving unit pressurizes the pressurizing roll to the surface of the contact roll selectively by comprising a vertical cylinder(40), a lifting member(41) and a control device. The vertical cylinder is vertically installed inside the moving frame. The lifting member is moved upward and downward against the moving frame by connecting with the tip of a piston rod in the vertical cylinder. The control device controls the inclination of the pressurizing roll lengthwise the contact roll by installing between the lifting member and the pressurizing roll. A dressing belt(30) polishes the surface of the contact roll by locating between the contact roll and the pressurizing roll. Thereby, the surface of the contact roll is ground equally without removing a strip during a grinding operation.

A focusing mirror(8) is provided in the torch head(5). A mirror head(16) is rotatably fixed to a mirror fixing plate(15). Cooling water is circulated through the mirror head(16).
