    • Disclosed is a friction stir bonding apparatus which is capable of performing a complex processing work including groove processing and finishing by rotating tools as well as a basic friction stir bonding work. According to the present invention, the friction stir bonding apparatus comprises a bed for fixing a work piece to be processed; a longitudinal member, a horizontal member, a vertical member, a lifting member and a header which are installed around the bed and perform a three-dimensional motion to process and bond the work piece; a tool which is installed on the header and spins at high speed; and a control unit. The bed has a tool mounting unit installed on the rear side thereof. The tool mounting unit has multiple tools stored therein, wherein the tools are selectively loaded on or unloaded from the header by the control unit to be used for groove processing, finishing or friction stir bonding. The header has an air nozzle and a cutting oil nozzle formed on the lower part thereof. The control unit selects operation modes to make the air nozzle spray air or the cutting oil nozzle spray cutting oil.

    • The present invention relates to a method of welding an aluminum bar and an aluminum thin sheet which includes: a first step of vertically stacking aluminum thin sheets; a second step of forming a bulk part by performing a friction stir welding process on the aluminum thin plates; a third step of cutting one end portion of the bulk part; and a fourth step of performing the friction stir welding process to weld the bulk part, which is cut, and the aluminum bar. According to the method of welding an aluminum bar and an aluminum thin sheet, delamination of the welded aluminum sheet or formation of pores on the welded part is prevented. Therefore, a defective booth bar is prevented from being manufactured during a manufacturing process of a booth bar.
