    • PURPOSE: A back plate for a plasma display panel and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to achieve improved contrast and brightness without a grinding process. CONSTITUTION: A back plate for plasma display panel comprises a sidewall formed on a substrate(60), an address electrode(64) printed on the sidewall, and arranged at a center of a discharge cell, a white dielectric layer(66) deposited on the sidewall so as to cover the address electrode, and a black dielectric layer(70) patterned and printed on the tip surface of the sidewall. A manufacturing method of the back plate for a plasma display panel comprises a step of attaching a green sheet(62) for the sidewall on the substrate, a step of printing the address electrode on the green sheet so as to cover the address electrode, a step of patterning and printing the black dielectric layer between the address electrodes, and a step of pressing a metallic pattern on the substrate having a groove with the sidewall shape in such a manner that the green sheet rises into the groove.

The second and the third light emitting diode are connected in series. Therefore, by changing one or more among the current applied to the first light emitting diode and the current applied to the second and the third light emitting diode, it is possible to convert the mixture of light from the light emitting diodes and the fluorescent bodies to be emitted to the outside to have a correlated color temperature between 2000K and 6500K.
