An apparatus for drying waste sludge comprises: a chamber(10) in which a sludge containing space is formed, and which has an injection port(11) formed on one side of a top part thereof and a discharge port formed on the other side of a bottom part thereof; a screw body(20) which extends from a front end of the injection port of the chamber to the position of the discharge port and rotated by driving of a rotary means(30), of which a central shaft(23) has a hollow part formed therein, in which discharge holes(22) are formed to communicate with the hollow part, and on which a screw-shaped blade part(24) is formed; a drying air supply part(40) for supplying drying air toward the hollow part inside the screw body; and a plurality of magnetrons(51) which are installed in the chamber and oscillate a microwave to dry water contained in sludge.
