摘要： A process for providing a shaped essentially sythetic fiber article with a surface-modification to provide said article with stain- release properties. The process is characterized by the following steps: (1) admixing in an aq. swelling environment (a) a water- dispellable non-crystalline organic polyester polymer having 30-70 mol.% of ethylene terephthalate units, a molecular weight of 700- 50,000 and one equivalent weight of sulfonic acid or ionizable sulfonic acid salt group per 700-8,000g (h) 0.01-20% of aq. salt to said polymer, (2) contacting the shaped essentially synthetic fiber article with said swelling enviroment, (3) swelling at least the surface of said article while they contact each other, and (4) aq. washing.
