    • PURPOSE: A method for heating slab for grain oriented electrical steel sheet is provided which is capable of reducing edge cracks as maintaining good magnetism by properly controlling heating temperature of reheating furnace when reheating the slab for the grain oriented electrical steel sheet. CONSTITUTION: In a method for manufacturing a grain oriented electrical steel sheet comprising the steps of reheating the silicon steel slab by charging a silicon steel slab comprising 0.04 to 0.08 wt.% of C, 2.9 to 3.3 wt.% of Si, 0.06 to 0.08 wt.% of Mn and 0.02 to 0.03 wt.% of S and comprises 0.02 to 0.037 wt.% of Al and 60 to 120 ppm of N if necessary, and a balance of Fe and other inevitable impurities into a reheating furnace consisted of preheating zone, heating zone and soaking zone; passing the reheated silicon steel slab through hot rolling, pre-annealing, cold rolling, decarburizing annealing and high temperature annealing processes; and finally insulation coating the high temperature annealed silicon steel sheet, the method for heating slab for grain oriented electrical steel sheet is characterized in that reheating conditions are set when reheating the silicon steel slab so that charging temperature of the slab is maintained to 500 deg.C or more, preheating zone temperature of the heating furnace is maintained to 1,150 to 1,200 deg.C, and a temperature difference between the preheating zone and the heating zone is maintained to 250 deg.C or less.

    • A non-oxydation atmosphere control system for a vertical furnace in the annealing process using coke oven gas (COG) comprises an air fuel ratio analyzer (18) connected to the rear part of a pre-mixer (16) for detecting the concentration of CO+H2, an arithmatic processor (22) and a proportional integral controller (21) for processing in normal order and in reverse the signal from the air fuel ratio analyzer, an adder (23) calculating the air fuel ratio to be fed in the system, a flow rate adjustment part (25) calculating the amount of COG input according to the signal from an air flow detecting sensor (15), and a by-pass valve (20) controlled by the output of the flow rate adjustment part and by-passing the COG for inputting in the burner.
