    • PURPOSE: A method for providing a PPS(Pre-Paid Service) in a mobile communication network is provided to select a message existing in a 3GPP(The Third Generation Partnership Project) standard and to produce a scenario, through the interworking between an SGSN(Serving GPRS(General Packet Radio Service) Support Node) and an SCP(Service Control Point) of an IMT-2000(International Mobile Telecommunication-2000) asynchronous network. CONSTITUTION: If an MS(Mobile Station) requests the activation of a data service from an SGSN(1), and the SGSN requests the allocation of a wireless resource from UTRAN(UMTS(Universal Mobile Telephone Service) Terrestrial Radio Access Network)(2). The SGSN requests a GGSN(Gateway GPRS Support Node) to generate information for the data service activation, and the GGSN responds(3). The SGSN notifies the activation of a PDP(Packet Data Protocol) context to an SCP(4), and the SCP requests the SGSN to report the disconnection and location change of the PDP context(5). The SCP requests the SGSN to report the expiration of a predetermined time and amount(6) and continue processing(7). The SGSN permits the data service activation(8). The SGSN reports the expiration of the predetermined time and amount to the SCP(9). The SCP requests the SGSN to report the expiration of the predetermined time and amount(10). If a user requests deactivation of the data service(11), the SGSN reports the generation of a PDP context release event to the SCP(12). The SGSN reports the final use time and amount of the user to the SCP(13). The SGSN requests the GGSN to delete the PDP context, and the SGSN responds(14). And the SGSN permits the deactivation of the data service to the MS(15) and releases the wireless network resource(16).

    • PURPOSE: A method for billing information service charges on the Internet connected with a remote communication network is provided to collect information service charges from service users after connecting a telephone network with the Internet and carrying out various information providing services. CONSTITUTION: If a telephone subscriber attempts access to an application server in the Internet through a remote communication network(S10), a service GPRS(General Packet Radio System) support node in the remote communication network detects the access attempt(S12) and transmits a CAP(CAMEL Application Protocol) message to a service controller(S14). The service controller stores the CAP message(S16). If the subscriber's terminal is connected to the application server(S18), the application server attempts authentication to the service controller(S20). If the application server succeeds in authentication(S22), the application server transmits relevant multimedia information to the subscriber's terminal through the Internet and the remote communication network(S24). If multimedia information is received completely, the subscriber releases the connection for the application server(S26). The serving GPRS support node transmits associated billing information to the service controller(S28). Based on the billing information and a stored charging rate, the service controller carries out unified billing for the subscriber's information service charge and remote communication network service charge(S30).
