摘要： A process for producing an evenly-dyed fabric comprising both cotton fibres and man-made cellulose fibres, in which a fabric is manufactured from both said fibres and is dyed, is characterised by impregnating the man-made cellulose fibres, prior to manufacture of the fabric, with a water-soluble, flexible linear polymer and a cross-linking agent reactive with cellulose, and, at a stage of the process prior to dyeing of the fabric, effecting a cross-linking reaction between the man-made cellulose fibres and the cross-linking agent, thereby producing a reduction in the dye affinity of the man-made cellulose fibres to a level more proximate to the dye affinity of the cotton fibres.

CONSTITUTION: The textile treatment composition comprises a polyhydroxyalkylurea crosslinking agent having at least two urea moieties which is selected from the group consisting of formula(I), (II), (III) respectively, wherein A is independently selected from the group consisting of a C2 to C36 aliphatic group, a C6 to C20 aromatic group, and a C6 to C40 alkaryl group; m is from 1 to 100, preferably from 1 to 10; n is from 2 to 10, preferably from 2 to 4; x is from 2 to 100, preferably from 2-10; Z is selected from the group consisting of a diamine, triamine, diol and triol; R1 is formula(1); R2 is independently selected from hydrogen or R5; R5 is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, CH2OH, formula(2), formula(3) and C1-C4 alkyl; R6 is selected from the group consisting of CH2OH, formula(2), formula(3) and C1-C4 alkyl; R7 is selected from the group consisting of CH2OH, formula(2), formula(3) and C1-C4 alkyl; and R8, R9 and R10 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, methyl and ethyl.

CONSTITUTION: In an embodiment of the invention, a process for preparing a microbiocidalcellulosic, cellulosic/polyester or polyester textile precursor, the process comprise: (a) immersing a cellulosic, cellulosic/polyester or polyester textile in an aqueous treating solution which comprises a heterocyclic N-halamine, a wetting agent and a catalyst; (b) removing the excess treating solution from the cellulosic, cellulosic/polyester or polyester textile; (c) drying the cellulosic, cellulosic/polyester or polyester textile; (d) curing the dried cellulosic, cellulosic/polyester or polyester textile; (e) washing the cured cellulosic, cellulosic/polyester or polyester textile to remove excess reagents; and (f) drying the treated cellulosic, cellulosic/polyester or polyester textile to remove water.
