    • PURPOSE: A gas sorting apparatus is provided to produce various types of converter gases with different calorific values by sorting converter gases according to the content of carbon monoxide. CONSTITUTION: A gas sorting apparatus(100) comprises an inlet pipe(110), a composition measuring unit(120), first and second transfer pipes(130,140), and a switching valve(150). The composition measuring unit measures the content of one component from gases(20,24,26) drawn into the inlet pipe. The gases are delivered to a first gas holder(30) through the first transfer pipe when the content of the component measured by the composition measuring unit is less than a first reference value and to a second gas holder(40) through the second transfer pipe when the content is equal to or greater than the first reference value. The switching valve is interposed between the first and second transfer pipes and controls the supply of the gases to the first or second transfer pipe.

    • PURPOSE: A device for treating by-product gas in ironwork is provided to minimize the emission quantity of byproduct gas and to improve energy efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A device for treating by-product gas in ironwork comprises a combustion chamber(10), a fuel pipe(20), and a burner(30) and a controller(40). Byproduct gas is burnt in the combustion chamber. The fuel pipe supplies the byproduct gas to the combustion chamber. The fuel pipe comprises a displacement sensor(25) detecting the flow of the fluid and generating an operation signal. The burner is allowed in between the combustion chamber and the fuel pipe. The burner comprises an oxygen pipe and an ignition part. The controller receives an operation signal from the displacement sensor. The controller supplies oxygen to the burner and operates the ignition part.
