If the DBM method is used, the client server transmits a location request signal including information on the DBM method to an MPC(S4). An HLR receives an SMREQ(System Memory Request) signal, and transmits a GPOSREQ signal to a PDE(S6). The PDE receives a GPS signal of the MS according to the determined method(S7). The PDE transmits a GPOSREQ response signal to the MPC(S8). The MPC transmits a location result signal to the client server. The client server supplies the location based service to a subscriber(S9).
