    • PURPOSE: A portable detecting apparatus for the obstacle detection is provided to sense the obstacle by the data followed by a using habit of a user, and is provided to control the sensing cycle of an ultrasonic sensor by a behavior pattern of the user. CONSTITUTION: A portable detecting apparatus (100) for the obstacle detection is comprised of the followings: a sensor unit (30) which includes at least one sensor which senses the obstacle located in the front of a user; a warning output unit (40) which informs the information about the obstacle, which is sensed through the sensor unit, to the user by the sound or vibration; and a main control unit (20) which controls the sensor unit and the warning output unit. A change in position between the mass unit and the substrate which is brought about as a result of an acceleration of the sensor acting in a first direction can be detected using one of these units, while the other unit can be used to detect a change in position between the mass unit and the substrate brought about as a result of an acceleration of the sensor acting in a second direction.
