    • A color reproducing system wherein an image captured by an image input device (12) is color converted by a color correcting part (16) and then displayed or outputted as a print by an image output device (18). The color correcting part (16) uses information of illumination environment during the image pickup (image pickup illumination information), information of illumination environment during observation (observation illumination information) and information related to the image input device (12) (image input device information) to perform a color conversion from the input image (image pickup illumination image data) to an output image. The information of illumination environment during observation includes information of two or more different illumination environments (A-observation illumination information, B-observation illumination information).

    • 본발명은 3차원검색테이블(3D LUT; 3D Look-Up Table)과, 최대채도/명도테이블(MaxSL; Maximal Saturation and Lightness table)과, 명도대 흑색테이블(LtoBk; Lightness to Black table)과, 톤보정테이블(tone correction table)을저장한메모리를구비한상태에서입력된 RGB 칼라값을 CIE Lab칼라값으로변환하여변환된 Lab칼라값으로부터명도값(L)과채도값(C)과색상값(H)을계산한후, 계산된색상값을인덱스(index)로하여최대채도/명도테이블(MaxSL)로부터색상값에대한최대채도값를판독함과더불어최대채도값에대응하는제 1 명도값을판독한후, 제 1 명도값을인덱스로삼아명도대 흑색테이블(LtoBk)로부터주어진제 1 명도값를재현할수 있는제 1 흑색값을판독한다음에제 1 흑색값을초기값으로하고계산된칼라의명도값과채도값에의해정의한시그모이드함수(sigmoid function)를이용하여입력된 RGB 칼라값에적합한흑색값인제 2 흑색값을생성한다음에 CMY 칼라값과제 1 흑색값을입력받아쉐도우영역에서나타나는흑색잉크와 CMY 칼라잉크의조합특성을개선하기위해, 제 2 흑색값에대한이진화문턱치를가변케하며제 2 흑색값의이진화결과에따라 CMY 칼라값에대한이진화를수행하는칼라프린터의칼라재현특성을고려한흑색생성과칼라중간조처리장치및 방법에관한것이다. 본발명에따르면, 상대적으로저렴한흑색잉크를최대한이용하면서도칼라의명도와채도를적절하게표현할수 있는흑색값을산출할수 있을뿐만아니라칼라중간조처리를수행할시에는쉐도우영역에서나타나는흑색잉크와 CMY 칼라잉크의조합특성을개선할수 있기때문에우수한프린터출력영상을제공할수 있는이점이있다.

CONSTITUTION: A method for processing adaptive color middle tone for four color printing includes the steps of selecting a first color ingredient and a second color ingredient for composing a first compound color ingredient(S20), making the first color ingredient and the second color ingredient numeral as 1 and 0 if the first color ingredient value is larger than the second color ingredient value, otherwise, making the first color ingredient and the second color ingredient numeral 0 and 1 in case that the first compound color ingredient value is smaller than or same as a maximum gradation value of a monocolor ingredient(S80,S90), and performing a normal middle tone process in case that the first compound ingredient value is larger than the maximum gradation value of the monocolor ingredient.
