    • A color changing device which is used to correct the variation of the hue without narrowing the color reproduction range, has a small circuit scale, and does not need many memory resources. A primary area sensor (10) judges to what area out of six areas classified according to the magnitude relationship of the RGB the input RGB values belong and outputs the minimum RGB values. A boundary coefficient table (11) outputs a coefficient determining the boundary to bisect the six primary areas according to the parameter indicating the primary area. The coefficient and the RGB values are multiplied and then added. A comparator (12) compares the sum with the RGB minimum values outputted from the primary area sensor (10), and the result is inputted into a matrix coefficient table (13). The matrix coefficient table (13) outputs the coefficient of a matrix operation to convert the RGB value to output R', G', B' values corresponding to the area to which the input RGB values belong according to the parameter indicating the primary area and the result of the comparison by the comparator (12).

    • PURPOSE: A digital printing system and digital prints are provided to obtain color reproducibility of yellow, magenta and cyan and skin color reproducibility and improve picture quality. CONSTITUTION: A digital printing system processes digital video data using at least three colors including yellow, magenta and cyan to print the digital video data. The yellow color in blue concentration of 1.0 has values of a*=-15 to 0 and b*=71 to 85 in L*a*b* space. The magenta color in green concentration of 1.0 has values of a*=50 to 65 and b*=-30 to 0 in the L*a*b* space. The cyan color in red concentration of 1.0 has values of a*=-45 to -15 and b*=-40 to -5 in the L*a*b* space. Digital video data represented in R=239, G=167 and B=127 is printed in the color of L*=58 to 78, a*=10 to 20 and b*=10 to 20.
