    • A high-pressure fuel pump with seal system that is usable under the conditions of "high speed", "high pressure" and "resistance to fuel oil". There is provided a high-pressure fuel pump comprising an axle capable of reciprocating motion in the pump and seal system (21) for separating/sealing of fuel and lubricating oil as sealing objects in a circular space within a housing having the axle passing therethrough, wherein the seal system (21) consists of a combination of fuel-side seal (31) for sealing of fuel and lubricating-oil-side seal (41) for sealing of lubricating oil. The fuel-side seal (31) is composed of resin-made seal ring (32) and rubbery-elastomer-made O ring (33) for backup of the seal ring (32). The lubricating-oil-side seal (41) consists of a single body of single-lip-type oil seal (42) wherein rubbery-elastomer-made seal lip (44) fitted to metal ring (43) is arranged so as to face the lubricating oil side. The spacing between the fuel-side seal (31) and the lubricating-oil-side seal (41) is set so as to be larger than the reciprocating motion distance of the axle.

    • An accumulator for a brake system is provided to store additional volume of brake oil without increasing the size of the accumulator and even allow compact size of the accumulator by exerting greater friction on an inner wall between a second sealing member and a second piston than the friction exerted on an inner wall between a first sealing member and a first piston and thus providing an additional brake fluid storage space above the second piston. An accumulator for a brake system comprises a first cylinder(100) having a predetermined space, a first piston(200) reciprocating in the first cylinder, a first sealing member(220) installed on an outer side of the first piston for securely sealing the storage space at the upper side of the first piston, a second cylinder(240) installed in the center of the first piston, a second piston(300) reciprocating in the second cylinder, and a second sealing member(310) installed on an outer side of the second piston for securely sealing the storage space at the upper side of the second piston. The friction between an inner wall of the second sealing member and the second piston is greater than the friction on the inner wall between the first sealing member and the first piston, allowing the fluid entering the first cylinder to first push the first piston and then the second piston, thereby providing an additional brake oil storage space above the second piston. A plug(110) is installed below the first cylinder for sealing off the inner space of the first cylinder. A packing member(120) is fitted into a through hole(112) formed on the center of the plug. One end of the packing member is projected inward to form a protrusion(121), allowing the second piston slid by the entering brake oil to be engaged with the protrusion.
