    • PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing synthetic natural gas is provided to extend the life of a catalyst by lowering calories from a methane synthesizing reaction. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing synthetic natural gas includes the following: a first methane synthesizing reaction is implemented to the saturated state of synthetic gas which is mixed with vapor in a first methane synthesizing reactor(2); a part of the synthetic gas through the methane synthesizing reaction undergoes a water gas shifting reaction; remaining synthetic gas through the methane synthesizing reaction by-passes the water gas shifting reaction; and a second methane synthesizing reaction is implemented to both synthetic gas in a second methane synthesizing reactor(7). The synthetic gas is generated by gasifying fuel, and the fuel is a hydrocarbon-based material.
