    • PURPOSE: An inspection position automatic positioning system for boarding on the upper side of an elevator car and a control method thereof are provided to automatically position the car at the inspection position of a platform in which an operator boards on the upper side of the car in order to inspect the upper side or manually manipulate the car. CONSTITUTION: An inspection position automatic positioning system for boarding on the upper side of an elevator car includes a display part (28), a button detecting part, a key detecting part, a controller area network (CAN) communication part (26), and a machine control unit (MCU) (30). The display part displays the operational condition of an elevator. The button detecting part detects the pushing of a call input button. The key detecting part detects the manipulation of a key switch. The CAN communication part communicates with an elevator console. The MCU controls the output of the display part, and controls a signal from the button detecting part or the key detecting part to be transmitted to the console by the medium of the CAN communication part.
