摘要： A dishwasher and a control method thereof are provided to condense vapor in a tub effectively and to reduce leakage rate of vapor by adding a water supply process for improving dry efficiency. A dishwasher comprises a water supply valve(700), a control unit(300), a memory unit(200), and a drive unit(400). The water supply valve supplies water into a tub. The control unit supplies cooling water into the tub before a dry process by controlling on/off of the water supply valve. The memory unit stores information on a washing process transmitted to the control unit. The drive unit powers a water discharge pump by the control unit. The cooling water is supplied at least one time to lower the inner temperature of the tub before start of a dry process after completion of a rinsing process.

The control unit controls a corresponding operation according to the desire of users input through the key input unit and the supply of the water before starting a dry process in a dry operation. The valve driving unit controls the driving of a water supply valve and a regenerating valve according to the control signal of the control unit.

摘要： A drying time control method of a dishwasher is provided to dry tableware in the dishwasher optimally by setting drying time optimally according to the rinsing course, considering heat remaining in the dishwasher by rinsing tableware. A rinsing course is performed(S10), and temperature of a washing tub is measured before draining water(S20). Temperature of the washing tub is compared with the initial drying temperature set according to each rinsing course(S30), and drying time is optimally set according to each course(S40). The operation cycle of a heater is set according to rinsing temperature of each course(S50), and water is drained(S60). Tableware is dried(S70), and a blower fan is driven by a microcomputer(S80). Tableware is dried by periodically turning on and off the heater while driving the blower fan for the predetermined time(S90). The drying course is finished by turning off the blower fan and the heater if a lapse of drying time is conformed(S100,S110).
